I'm Susan Young, a BAFTA-nominated animation director with 40+ years of experience in independent production. From United Nations commissions and David Byrne collaborations to pioneering research on animation as a therapeutic mental health intervention, my work combines groundbreaking creative practice with academic rigour.
My Royal College of Art (RCA) PhD explores how animation can help process psychological trauma and transform lived experience into meaningful creative expression.
