Commissioned by the United Nations to convey, without dialogue, the threat of nuclear annihilation and the importance of disarmament. Its imagery had to be acceptable to every UN member country. My animation of nuclear winter was inspired by the apocalyptic drama Threads, which seared itself into my imagination when I first saw it in 1984.
